I recently received a question about financial aid at Mount Allison so I thought in addition to directly answering it I would provide some more information here. For American students considering Mount Allison, you are able to use Stafford Loans. From the Mount Allison University web page about student loans:

US STAFFORD LOANS

As of July 1, 2010 Mount Allison University is able to assist American students in identifying your eligibility to obtain funds from the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program.
